Luxe Report Designs Instagram

Happy New Year LUXE readers! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday!! We've been working hard here on new projects, and wanted to let you know that we will be switching things up a little in the new year.

When we launched Luxe Report, our goal was to always bring as much personal inspiration as possible to our posts.  Of course, this was usually in the form of our personal photos.  There are many blogs out there who are wonderful at cultivating images from the web to form posts with common interests and themes. So why reinvent the wheel?! We wanted to bring you as much of our personal portfolio and inspiration as possible, but sometimes when forming an entire post worthy of publishing, we struggled.  Sometimes snippets of a project we're working on, favorite new purchases, or items that are currently inspiring us, are more worthy of a simple photograph. Like the old saying...a photograph is worth a thousand words! We have decided that the best way for us to do this is through our new Instagram account, @LuxeReportDesigns.  Instagram will take the place of our daily blogs in this effort to bring you an even closer look at day to day happenings and detailed shots of our projects without needing to create an entire "post" to bring them to you. In addition, a new Luxe Report Designs website is coming. Stay tuned!

We hope you'll make the move and follow us, we are so thankful for your support!

This photo, and so much more to come at the new @LuxeReportDesigns Instagram account!

Luxe Holiday: Friendmas: Black, White & Malachite!

Last night we celebrated our annual "Friendmas" dinner and gift exchange.  Somehow, without discussing it prior, we always manage to have very cohesive gifts! I suppose that is why we are friends!

Thanks to Christin, the theme of the night's tablescape was black and white cabana stripes, malachite with touches of gold:

Festive, no?!

And the gifts that followed did not disappoint! With lots of black and white stripes, malachite, monograms and gold, the gifts matched the theme of the night perfectly!

A fabulous (Ikea!) striped throw, cabana striped cosmetic bag and brushes, malachite soap, and monogrammed goodies from Gigi New York and Jordann Jewelry! We love Friendmas!!

Luxe Fashion & Decor: Emerald Envy

We're loving this year's pantone color of the year choice (we always have radiant orchids in our homes!) But I am not ready just yet to move beyond last year's winner.  I'm not sure if it's because of the holidays, the persisting malachite trend, or just simply a new color that I've grown to love, but I cannot get enough of beautiful emerald tones lately! So much so, I'm considering bringing it in through some accent pieces in my new living room!

Luxe Decor: Breakfast Nook Tables

During our recent kitchen renovation, we decided to add a banquette in our breakfast nook area.  The space is pretty large, and the built-in bench now provides much more seating than just a simple table and four chairs!

But speaking of tables, I've been on the hunt for the perfect table.  And I just haven't decided on the exact direction I want to go!

I've hung the coral chandelier I had in my previous dining space, and will add bamboo matchstick shades on the windows.  I'm thinking a classic black and white cabana stripe fabric for the cushions and pillows, and a pair of ghost chairs for when we need the extra seating.

But back to the tables! I'm on the hunt, and while I'm keeping an eye out for a great vintage find, there are some reproductions that I'm contemplating too...

Do I go for a simple, modern chrome look?

Or glammy with this gilt option?

Or a classic tulip table?

What's your vote for?? Let me know!!

And some fab LUXE PICKS if only budget was no issue!
